The miso rounds off the flavour of these savoury cakes, adding a floral fruitiness to the whole experience. No need to add any spices or salt as the miso provides all the taste that you need.
Take:
2 cups of sweet potato, grated
To the sweet potato add:
1 tbsp of miso
and mix well.
Heat up on medium to high flame in a skillet:
vegetable oil, 1cm in depth
and shape seasoned sweet potato into 10cm (4 inch) round patties. Place the patties in the skillet when the oil is hot. Wait 2 minutes and then flip the patties over. Cook partially covered on low heat for 8 minutes.
Can be eaten as a snack or as a carbohydrate portion of a main meal.
